No matter what your reason for picking up the whistle
the Hertfordshire Society of RFU Referees is ready to welcome you in and help you thrive
from the best seat in the house!
Membership of the Society is open to everyone, from referees taking their first steps into the middle of the pitch,
to veteran whistlers. To join the Society, you need:
- To be 16 or older
- Have completed an RFU Refereeing Qualification
If you haven't yet taken a refereeing course, that isn’t necessarily a problem!
But we do then ask that you send over a summary of your rugby career, to highlight any relevant experience you have.
Our in-house training should help you get on to the pitch quite quickly, but you will need to commit to completing the England Rugby Referee Award a
t the earliest opportunity.
Membership costs just £20 per year and we will give you all the tools that you need to succeed through our regular
training and new referee sessions which are hosted at the Hertfordshire Sports Village in Hatfield.
After 5 games, you will receive a full set of Society Kit!
